Medicine in English at Medical University Pleven

The February intake means application deadlines can fall in the previous calendar year. Also, Nursing appears in some MU-Pleven English-language news, but this Medimentor page focuses on Medicine because it is the relevant Biology/Chemistry entrance-exam program for our Bulgaria prep.

Pleven is smaller than Sofia, Plovdiv or Varna, which can make budgeting easier. MU-Pleven's own fee page lists minimum living expenses at EUR 500/month, hostel costs at EUR 75-95/month and private apartments at EUR 300-400/month. The tradeoff is a quieter city and a smaller international scene.

• Secondary-school diploma and transcript, legalized and translated where required.
• Proof that the diploma gives access to higher education in the country where it was issued.
• Passport or national ID copy, application form and passport-style photos.
• Recognition or equivalency documents through Bulgarian authorities where required.
• English proof or English diagnostic test if the university requires it.
• B2 English certificate for applicants from countries where English is not an official language.
• Hard-copy documents submitted by the applicant, an authorized representative or post/courier by the applicant-category deadline.
