Medical University of Warsaw is a major public medical university in Poland's capital. It is a strong option to compare if you are looking at Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy in English.
WUM's Medicine page lists a six-year MD program with 384 ECTS and a 2026 limit of 150 places. Dentistry is handled through the English Dentistry Division as a five-year Dental Medicine program. Pharmacy is run by the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Banacha campus and uses its own admission requirements.
Best fit
Applicants who want a large capital-city medical university, a clearly published Medicine competency test and strong access to Warsaw hospitals, research clubs and student organizations.
Watch out for
WUM is not the cheapest Poland option, and the Medicine competency test is not just Biology and Chemistry memorization. It also checks decision making and problem solving. Pharmacy uses a different faculty process, so do not assume the Medicine/Dentistry rules apply to Pharmacy.

WUM Warsaw entrance exam
WUM Medicine uses an online competency test for most high-school applicants. The current test has 80 multiple-choice questions over 100 minutes: 30 Biology, 30 Chemistry and 20 Decision Making questions, with Decision Making worth 2 points per question and no negative marking. Candidates can also ask WUM whether an approved standardized test score or life-science university GPA can be used instead, but WUM notes that most candidates are not exempt from the competency test. WUM Dentistry applicants apply through ORS and qualify through the WUM competency test, an approved BMAT, MCAT, GAMSAT, UCAT, DAT or HPAT score, or university GPA for eligible BSc/MSc candidates. The Dentistry page says ORS is the only way to apply and that candidates must keep checking their online account and email. WUM Pharmacy uses a document and grade-based model. The Faculty of Pharmacy requirements page lists Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics as the key subjects. IB, EB, EU, OECD, EFTA and Polish Matura candidates are qualified through converted exam results, while other high-school diploma holders are assessed through equivalent subject results. English proof is also required where applicable.

WUM degrees are Polish university degrees inside the EU higher-education system. Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy recognition still depends on the country where the graduate wants to register, so applicants should check the relevant medical, dental or pharmacy regulator before choosing a program.
