Czechia Medical University Entrance Exam 🇨🇿

Compare Czech medical university entrance exams for Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy in English.

Czechia is one of the countries where you should not prepare from a generic medical-school checklist. The subjects overlap, but the exam format changes by faculty.

Biology and Chemistry are the base. After that, your target faculty decides the rest: Physics, Mathematics, Logic, General Science, interview, MMI or Pharmacy-specific Botany.

Preparation plan

Prepare by faculty, not by country

Start with Biology

Cover cell biology, genetics, human biology, physiology and the official topic list for your target faculty.

Build Chemistry

Study general, inorganic and organic chemistry. Keep calculations and reaction logic in your weekly practice.

Add the extra subject

Do not ignore Physics, Mathematics, Logic, General Science or Botany if your chosen faculty tests it.

Practise speaking

For interview/MMI faculties, practise explaining your motivation, reasoning and scientific thinking in clear English.

Charles University needs extra care

Charles University is one university, but its medical and pharmacy faculties have separate admission rules. First Faculty, Second Faculty, Third Faculty, Pilsen, Hradec Kralove and Pharmacy are not interchangeable.

Check attempt limits early

Some Czech faculties allow only one attempt in an admission year. Pick your date carefully and do not treat the first exam as practice.

FAQ

Czechia entrance exam questions

Do Czech medical universities require entrance exams?
Usually yes. Czechia is exam-heavy for English-taught Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Biology and Chemistry are the base subjects, but many faculties add Physics, Mathematics, Logic, General Science, an interview or an MMI.
Is there one Czechia medical entrance exam?
No. Each faculty sets its own exam. This matters most at Charles University, where the First, Second, Third, Pilsen, Hradec Kralove and Pharmacy faculties all use different formats.
What should I study first for Czechia?
Start with Biology and Chemistry. Then add the extra subject required by your target faculty: Physics for many Medicine and Dentistry exams, Mathematics as an option at Hradec Kralove and Palacky, Logic for Charles Second Faculty, or General Science for Charles First Faculty.
Do Czech medical entrance exams include interviews?
Several do. Charles First Faculty uses an online MMI after the written exam. Charles Second Faculty, Charles Third Faculty and Charles Hradec Kralove also use interview-style steps. Pilsen, Ostrava and Palacky are more written-test focused.
Can Medimentor help with Czechia entrance-exam prep?
Yes. Medimentor helps you review Biology and Chemistry, practise exam-style questions, prepare for interviews and compare faculty rules before you apply. It does not replace official university instructions and does not guarantee admission.
